Tel'Annas Counters 2026: Best Counter Picks & Builds

Tel’Annas is a Dragon Lane marksman who deals damage with basic attacks from very long range. Her passive The Morning Star grants 8% physical attack when allied heroes are nearby, Skill 1 Eagle Eye greatly increases her attack range and attack speed and empowers her basic attacks, Skill 2 Penetrating Shot fires 3 arrows that slow and grant her movement speed when they hit a hero, and her ultimate Arrow of Chaos channels briefly before firing an arrow that stuns enemy heroes. Tel'Annas ‘s weaknesses are her lack of a dash, a weak early game, damage that depends on Eagle Eye’s uptime, and a heavy reliance on a support by her side. Closing in fast, using crowd control to interrupt her ultimate, and separating her from her support are the most effective ways to counter her. The top counters to Tel'Annas are Elsu, Hayate in the Dragon Lane, Wukong, Murad in the jungle, Grakk, Baldum at support and Veera in the mid lane.

Elsu can go toe to toe with Tel'Annas in a long-range duel in the Dragon Lane. Snipe aims for 2 seconds to increase its range and accuracy, dealing physical damage and slowing the first hero hit, enough to chip away at Tel’Annas’s HP before she activates Eagle Eye . Sentinel Sentinel provides vision and boosts damage while Elsu stands within its area, helping him pick safe spots to shoot from. When Tel’Annas pops Eagle Eye and steps up to trade, Disengage rolls him back, fires a slowing shot and then boosts his movement speed to get out of her range; wait for her Skill 1 to wear off before coming back.

Hayate

Hayate is a mobile marksman, exactly the kind of opponent a dashless marksman like Tel'Annas struggles against. Shadow Step dashes in a chosen direction and can cross terrain, while the skill’s passive boosts Hayate’s damage and movement speed when an enemy hero is within 5m, so the closer he gets, the stronger he becomes. His ultimate Kunai Blitz blinks him to a chosen point and continuously throws shurikens at nearby enemies, making it very hard for Tel’Annas to land Arrow of Chaos on him. His passive Rift also grants armor penetration after each hit, helping him quickly take down a squishy marksman.

Grakk has three powerful crowd-control skills against a stationary marksman like Tel'Annas . Devil's Chain throws a chain that pulls the enemy in front of him, dragging Tel’Annas out of her safe spot behind the frontline. Earthquake sucks in nearby enemies, slowing and briefly silencing them, enough to interrupt the Arrow of Chaos channel. His ultimate World Devourer repeatedly stuns and pulls in enemies for 3 seconds while giving Grakk a shield if it hits, buying his team enough time to take down Tel’Annas before her support can save her.

Baldum

Baldum helps separate Tel'Annas from her support, which is what players bring up most when discussing how to beat her in the Dragon Lane. Wild Charge charges in a chosen direction, knocking up enemies along the way and then knocking the target back, dealing damage based on 8% of max HP. His ultimate Wild Prison imprisons an enemy for 3 seconds, during which the victim can’t do anything; use it on Tel’Annas to cut her off from the fight. Wild Stomp slows victims and reduces the physical damage they deal to Baldum, so Tel’Annas’s relentless basic attacks struggle to bring him down.
