Elsu Skill Order

How to Play Elsu

How to Combo Elsu

Elsu ‘s kit is fairly disjointed, so there’s no strict combo order — use your skills sensibly depending on the situation, but usually in this order:

Continuously poke the enemy with Skill 2 Snipe or basic attacks depending on range; once the enemy is nearly dead, use Skill 3 Disengage to finish them and pull back.

If the enemy hero runs out of range, use Skill 3 Disengage to pull yourself toward them to close the gap, then finish with Skill 2 Snipe .

How to Use Elsu's Skills Effectively

Passive Stalk :

  • Run along walls to gain bonus movement speed from the passive.
  • While stealthed, you can’t be targeted by targeted skills like the stun from Veera or the dash from Bright , but the enemy can still see you and hit you with skillshots.

Skill 1 Sentinel :

  • Place this skill in river bushes to farm safely without fearing an enemy jungler or mid laner ganking you.
  • Place traps at the Dragon and Caesar pits and other areas the enemy frequently passes through to control the map.
  • Skill 1’s passive grants Elsu armor penetration while standing still, so max it out first to optimize damage.

Skill 2 Snipe :

  • Pick a safe, hidden position before aiming, since Elsu can’t move while using this skill, and it’s harder for the enemy to dodge if they can’t see you.
  • Move your aim reticle from somewhere else gradually onto the target for better accuracy rather than aiming directly at them from the start.
  • If you’re right next to an enemy hero, you can basic attack once then tap and immediately release Skill 2 for a fast cast without needing to aim.

Skill 3 Disengage :

  • Use this skill to pull back (can cross terrain) to escape an enemy assassin trying to close in on you.
  • When an enemy is nearly dead, you can also use Skill 3 to finish them off while safely pulling back at the same time.

How to Play Elsu in the Early Game

Elsu ‘s playstyle isn’t quite like other marksmen because of his extremely long reach.

In the early game, although you need to farm minions, continuously use Skill 2 Snipe to poke the enemy while using Skill 1 Sentinel to place traps in river bushes for vision.

Skill 2 Snipe deals huge damage, so just 2 to 3 hits will bring the enemy hero close to death — if possible, use Flicker to secure the kill; if not, they’ll still fall behind from losing minions.

How to Play Elsu in the Mid Game

In the mid game, keep farming minions but rotate lanes and join small skirmishes when there’s an opening, avoiding pushing one lane too far to prevent getting picked off alone.

Elsu ‘s approach in team fights is fairly simple: just find a great position and shoot Skill 2 Snipe straight into the enemy formation.

Use Skill 1 Sentinel to place traps at both the Dragon and Caesar pits to control vision and secure these objectives when there’s a chance.

How to Play Elsu in the Late Game

By the late game, always move with your allies, ready for fights, and pick a great shooting angle to use Skill 2 Snipe on the enemy’s backline.

If closed in on, immediately activate Skill 3 Disengage to pull back and keep shooting.

Remember not to wander alone — straying too far from your team makes it very easy to lose.
