Wukong
Wukong Item Build
Notes on Wukong's Item Build
- If the enemy team has a lot of strong crowd control, build
Gilded Greaves
instead of
Hermes' Select
, and don’t worry about a passive conflict with
Slikk's Sting
since crit chance is
Wukong
‘s most important stat. - If the enemy team doesn’t have many tanks, swap
Muramasa
for
Rankbreaker
to optimize damage. - If you want to play safer, swap
Fenrir's Tooth
for
Blade of Eternity
in the jungle build.

How to Play Wukong in the Early Game
In the early game, if you’re playing
Wukong
jungle, start with the blue buff first since this hero’s kit consumes quite a lot of energy.
If you’re laning, hold a backward position, focus on farming minions to reach level 4, and avoid fighting much, since the monkey is very weak early on.
How to Play Wukong in the Mid Game
By the mid game, your job is to gank nonstop, constantly watching the minimap to spot enemies wandering alone or pushing too far, then moving in for the kill.
Prioritize attacking squishy targets first to secure a kill in a single combo, then get out of the fight. Keep hiding in bushes, going stealth to deal damage, then stealthing again to retreat, making you impossible to pin down.
Play as proactively as possible to apply massive pressure on the enemy team to end the match early, since a prolonged match doesn’t favor
Wukong
How to Play Wukong in the Late Game
By the late game,
Wukong
‘s impact drops off since this is when full team fights happen, and this hero isn’t strong in large-scale fights.
So take advantage of your mobility to split push, clearing minions on every lane to force the enemy to split up to defend.
When you see them split up, look for a chance to pick off their core damage dealer, or quickly take advantage of the opening to secure Dragon and Caesar for major buffs, greatly increasing your win chances.
If you have to fight, patiently wait for the enemy’s core damage dealer to expose themselves, then quickly dive in to take them down — diving in too early is very dangerous.
