Heroes That Counter Florentino

Florentino is an extremely mobile fighter in the Dark Slayer lane and the jungle, but all of his flashy plays revolve around flowers. Skill 1 Blossom Blossom throws a flower that stuns, and on hitting an enemy it drops three flowers for 5 seconds; picking up a flower restores 100 energy, triggers a dash strike and refreshes skill 2 Triple Threat Triple Threat , a three-hit slash that deals true damage based on max HP. His passive Shuffle Shuffle makes dash strikes heal when they hit heroes and grants a short CC-immune sword step, while his ultimate Gentlemen's Duel Gentlemen's Duel duels one hero for 5 seconds, making him immune to all crowd control and to damage from other enemies. The weakness of Florentino Florentino is that if he misses his flower or is blocked from picking it up, he loses his rhythm, and his range is short. Opponents who poke from range, have untargetable skills or know to save their crowd control for when the duel ends will give him a hard time. Florentino’s counters include Marja, Bolt Baron, Murad in the Dark Slayer lane and jungle, Aleister in the mid lane, and Arum, Baldum in the support role.

Items That Counter Florentino

Sonic Boots

Sonic Boots grant +60 movement speed and reduce damage taken from basic attacks by 10%. Florentino deals most of his physical damage through dash strikes and the empowered basic attacks right after them, so fighters facing him in the Dark Slayer lane take less punishment in every trade.

Curse of Death

Judgment reduces the target’s healing by 40% for 3 seconds when applied with a basic attack or skill. Every time a dash strike hits a hero, Florentino heals through his passive Shuffle; cutting that healing makes his constant in-and-out dashes far more costly in HP.

Tome of the Reaper

The same Judgment passive with 40% healing reduction, made for mages and magic-damage supports like Aleister. Apply it as soon as you land crowd control on Florentino so the healing from his dash strikes is cut while your team bursts him down.

Shield of the Lost

Passive Sentinel: when you take damage, the attacker’s attack speed is reduced by 30% and movement speed by 15%. Florentino has to stay close and keep basic attacking after every dash strike, so he both attacks slower and struggles to chase as you back away from the dropped flowers.

Gilded Greaves

+35% Resistance shortens the duration of crowd control, along with +60 movement speed. The stun from Blossom opens Florentino’s flower pick-up and Triple Threat chain; shorter stuns mean more time to back off or counterattack before he can pick up his flowers.

How to Counter Florentino in 1vs1

Dodge the flower, dodge the whole combo: Every one of Florentino’s flashy sequences starts with Blossom Blossom . Keep just enough distance and move diagonally so the flower misses; if it misses, he has no flower to pick up, no Assault and can’t refresh Triple Threat Triple Threat .

Stay away from where the flowers land: If you’ve been stunned, back out of the area with the three flowers as soon as the stun ends. Flowers only last 5 seconds, and every one he picks up is another Assault dash at you.

Don’t go toe-to-toe early on: Triple Threat deals true damage based on max HP, so stacking HP won’t help you last longer. Farm safely near your tower and only trade when your jungler comes by or he has just used all his skills.

Count the Duel timer: Gentlemen's Duel Gentlemen's Duel only lasts 5 seconds. Don’t waste CC during that window; run toward your teammates or tower, wait for it to expire, then counterattack.

How to Counter Florentino in Team Fights

Protect your carries: Florentino loves diving onto marksmen and mages with Gentlemen's Duel Gentlemen's Duel . Fighters and supports should stand in front of the backline, ready to take the Duel dash in place of squishy teammates.

Don’t rush your CC: During the 5 seconds of Duel and while dashing with Sword Step, he is immune to all crowd control. Save stuns, knock-ups or imprisoning skills like Wild Prison Wild Prison from Baldum Baldum or Snare Snare from Arum Arum for the moment his CC immunity runs out.

Duel blocks damage from others: While dueling, Florentino takes no damage from enemies who aren’t in the Duel. Anyone not targeted should hit a different target or hold their skills until the Duel ends.

Ranged heroes keep moving: Move while attacking to lower the chance of getting hit by Blossom Blossom ; without flowers, Florentino has a very hard time reaching the backline a second time.
