• If the enemy team is squishy, use Rankbreaker .
• If the enemy team has a tank, use Spear of Longinus .
• If the enemy team is too tanky, use Muramasa .

Passive Assassin :

• Stack 3 assassin marks by killing minions/monsters 3 times, or killing 1 enemy hero and 1 monster, before entering a fight.
• Once you have 3 marks, whichever skill Butterfly uses first can be cast again immediately for free.
• You can use Skill 1 Whirlwind twice for stronger area damage, Skill 2 Sword Propel twice for a stronger slow on the enemy, or Skill 3 Backstab twice to burst down an enemy hero.

Skill 1 Whirlwind :

• Use this skill when there are many enemy heroes around to increase the damage dealt.
• You can use it while in stealth to gain a shield and movement speed to chase or escape when in danger.

Skill 2 Sword Propel :

• After slowing the enemy with Skill 2, basic attack for 4 seconds to take advantage of this skill’s bonus attack speed and crit chance.

Skill 3 Backstab :

• Stack 3 passive Assassin charges first, then use your ultimate twice on the squishiest enemy hero to finish them off quickly, after which the ultimate refreshes so you can continue the combo.
• You can also use this skill to escape by dashing to targets on the other side of a wall.

How to Combo Butterfly :

Stack 3 passive charges + Skill 3 Backstab twice + Skill 1 Whirlwind + Skill 2 Sword Propel + basic attack and repeat.

At the start of the match, check which side of the map has the easiest enemy to gank, and finish your jungle route on that side — for example, if the enemy marksman has no escape skill, start your jungle route in the Abyssal Lane and finish near the Dragon Lane, so by the time Butterfly reaches level 4, you can gank the enemy marksman.

At this stage, Butterfly already has decent damage, so if there’s an opening, secure major objectives early to gain an advantage.

In this phase, Butterfly ‘s damage has become quite big, and since the enemy’s core damage dealers are usually still weak, keep rotating to gank continuously, playing aggressively and targeting squishy heroes to set up repeated Skill 3 Backstab combos.

You can also split push and secure major objectives when the opportunity arises, thanks to your fast and powerful damage kit.

By the late game, Butterfly still has huge damage, but the enemy’s core damage dealers usually already have some life-saving items like Arctic Orb or Blade of Eternity …, so you need to pick your moments carefully instead of playing as aggressively as in the mid game.

A good strategy is to split push and force the enemy to split their formation to defend, so you can more easily pick off stragglers. If you have to join a full team fight, wait for a good opportunity to circle around and take down the enemy’s core damage dealer as fast as possible.
