Introduction to Aoi
▼Aoi is one of the top-tier assassin heroes in Arena of Valor. With powerful damage, high mobility, and unpredictable tricks, she is always a nightmare for the enemy team.
Aoi mainly plays Jungle. Her signature skill is Dragon Claw: she shoots a claw into terrain and then uses the movement joystick to dash or take flight, becoming immune to crowd control while moving. In flight, her first skill turns into a dive that knocks enemies airborne and grants a shield. Her ultimate, Dragon's Wrath, lets Aoi soar up untargetable, stab her claws into enemies to slow them, then pull back to deal damage based on the target's missing health.

Use Skill 2
Dragon Claw
to latch onto an obstacle and close in while immune to crowd control, then basic attack right away since the passive
Dragon's Blessing
turns the attack after every skill into a lunge. Next use Skill 1
Dragon Slash
for damage and healing, weaving in another basic attack to build Dragon Force. Once the target is low, finish with Skill 3
Dragon's Wrath
: the claw retraction scales with missing HP and the backward dash gets you out safely. Variation: choose Flight with Skill 2, then Skill 1 to dive in, knock up the whole enemy group and gain a shield.
How to Use Aoi's Skills Effectively
- After every skill cast,
Aoi
‘s next basic attack becomes a lunge with extra range and attack speed, so weave one basic attack after each skill instead of chaining skills back to back.
- Each skill adds 1 Dragon Force stack, up to 4, and the 4th basic attack always crits and reduces your cooldowns; time it so that hit lands on an enemy hero or a big monster.
- In the jungle you can basic attack and cast Skill 1
Dragon Slash
into empty space before the monster spawns to pre-charge the passive bar, so you get the crit and cooldown reduction from the very first camp.
- In its normal form, Skill 1 lunges forward dealing area damage and heals you when it hits an enemy, so it both clears camps and keeps you healthy in the jungle.
- While in Flight state from Skill 2

, Skill 1 becomes a dive onto the chosen location that knocks up every target in range and grants a shield if it hits an enemy: the safest way to start a fight.

- Skill 2 must latch onto an obstacle, so before a fight stay close to walls or terrain so you always have something to grab.

to push lanes hard on all 3 lanes, forcing the enemy team to split up to defend, then hunt down their core damage dealer and squishy heroes — if the enemy refuses to defend, just split push to win outright.
