When playing Omen, focus on basic attacks and save your ultimate to lock down Volkath. Once Volkath activates his ultimate, quickly close in and bind him — standing in the cage trading blows evenly makes Volkath nearly useless in a fight since he can’t reach the enemy core.

Roxie

This is an extremely annoying matchup for Volkath. In lane, Roxie just runs circles around him, continuously burning HP. When Volkath dives in, you just need to activate your ultimate to pull him far from his target or drag him into a dangerous position for teammates to finish him off.

Marja

Volkath facing Marja might as well cry, since this hero can continuously poke, drain HP, and keep her distance. When Volkath activates his ultimate to dive in, Marja just needs to dive underwater to dodge the damage, buying time until his immortality runs out, then finish him off.

Murad is extremely effective at baiting out Volkath’s Immortality. Play hit & run style, dive in to poke then pull out immediately, absolutely don’t stand and duel him for long. Volkath hates a playstyle like Murad’s that attacks then disappears, since the moment he mounts up, there’s no target left to slash.

Liliana

Liliana causes extreme frustration for Volkath with her mobility. Stay in human form to poke from afar, absolutely don’t dive in first. When Volkath activates his ultimate, just retreat, wait out his immortality, then switch to fox form to dump damage and finish him off.

Ishar

Volkath facing Ishar can only feel hopeless — casting a skill gets blocked by the little companion, mounting up gets him bound in place with nowhere to run. The playstyle is placing the companion in front as a wall, continuously slowing and poking. When Volkath dives in, quickly activate your ultimate to cage him and stop his rampage.

Baldum

Volkath absolutely hates Baldum. Launching, forcing position, and his ultimate caging him prevent Volkath from reaching the enemy core. The playstyle is simply: time it so when Volkath mounts up, you use your ultimate to bury his romance with the ground and it’s done.

Gildur

Gildur has too much crowd control from long range to close range, making it extremely simple to disrupt Volkath. You can throw a stun from afar every time Volkath approaches your teammates, or hold your ultimate to lock him down tightly while he’s mounted to prevent Volkath from activating his Immortality effect.
