Zephys Gameplay Guide

How to Combo Zephys

Zephys combo when close to the enemy:

  • Use Skill 3 Air Strike to jump in and knock the enemy up.
  • Activate Skill 2 Combo Strike to chain-slash the enemy’s face.
  • Finally, use Skill 1 Javelin Thrust to chase if the enemy flees, and keep basic attacking to finish them off.

Zephys combo when the opponent is far away:

  • Use Skill 1 Javelin Thrust to dash and close the distance.
  • Follow up with Skill 3 Air Strike to jump in and knock the enemy up, then land one basic attack to trigger the enhanced attack’s effects.
  • Activate Skill 2 Combo Strike to deal damage to the enemy and heal yourself.
  • By now Skill 1 Javelin Thrust has recharged, so use it again combined with basic attacks to pile on the damage.

How to Use Zephys's Skills Effectively

Passive Resilience :

  • Remember that the lower Zephys ‘s health gets, the more damage reduction this hero gains.
  • This damage-reduction stat reduces all types of damage — physical, magic, and true damage.
  • Use this to bait the enemy into thinking they can finish you off when your health is low, then outplay them.

Skill 1 Javelin Thrust :

  • Use the terrain-crossing dash to close in and attack the enemy or escape dangerous situations.
  • Immediately after dashing, land one basic attack to deal a large amount of damage plus slow the enemy.

Skill 2 Combo Strike :

  • When you activate Skill 2, stand still for a moment to land all of the slashes.
  • Hitting a hero heals you twice as much as hitting a minion or monster.
  • Combine this healing with the damage-reduction effect from the passive Resilience to trade blows and outplay the enemy more effectively.

Skill 3 Air Strike :

  • Try to use this skill where multiple enemies are grouped together to deal damage, knock up multiple targets, and mark them at the same time (marked enemies will glow).
  • Basic attack marked enemies to deal them extra damage.
  • You can also use the terrain-crossing jump to suddenly close in on the enemy or escape dangerous situations.

How to Play Zephys in the Early Game

Entering the early game, if you’re jungling with Zephys , start from the blue buff first since this hero costs energy to use their skills.

Take advantage of the mobility from Skill 1 Javelin Thrust to dash across jungle camps and speed up your jungle clear.

While farming the jungle, if you see the enemy hero pushed up too far, move out to gank early to secure a kill, since Zephys ‘s damage is quite strong right from the start.

How to Play Zephys in the Mid Game

The mid game is when Zephys becomes strongest, with mobility and a skill set that deals massive damage, able to quickly finish off squishy enemy heroes within seconds.

So the best playstyle here is to continuously rotate lanes for ganks, open fights, push towers, and attack major objectives together with your team.

Hunt down squishy, low-mobility prey like the enemy marksman — this both nets you easy kills and slows down the opponent’s power spike.

Also don’t forget to attack Dragon and Caesar as soon as there’s an opening to claim important buffs for your team.

How to Play Zephys in the Late Game

By the late game, this hero’s impact drops significantly since the enemy has bought certain defensive items, so be more careful in fights.

If the pace of the match is slow with not much fighting, try to split-push side lanes to force the enemy to spread out and defend, creating opportunities to pick off their carry alone.

If a full team fight is unavoidable, wait for a good opportunity when the enemy marksman no longer has defensive items or Flicker , then quickly dive in to combo and finish them off to gain the advantage and quickly end the fight and the match as a whole.
