How to Combo Y'bneth
- Use Skill 1
Vine
to deal damage and slow the target. - Use Skill 2
Nature's Embrace
to gather targets into one point and stun them. - By now Skill 1
Vine
has refreshed, so use it once more. - Once Skill 1 has stacked enough charges and turns into “Falling Tree,” use it to push the enemy into a disadvantageous position.
- Activate the ultimate
Seed of Life
to burst damage, pin down the enemy, and heal yourself.
How to Use Y'bneth's Skills Effectively
Passive
Mother Earth
:
- When your health or mana runs low and there’s an opening, move into any bush and wait a moment to recover.
- This is a tool that helps
Y'bneth
hold the lane extremely well and saves time from having to recall, so use it to its fullest.
Skill 1
Vine
:
- This skill has a fast cooldown and long range, so use it to poke enemies and clear minions from a distance, or check bushes.
- Skill 1’s passive is that once you stack 5 points (using any skill to hit a minion or monster grants 1 point, hitting an enemy hero grants 2 points; the point count is shown above your battle spell), Skill 1 will transform into “Falling Tree.”
- Use the skill so it hits multiple targets at once to stack points faster — also, stacked points only last for a short time, so try to stack continuously to avoid losing progress.
- The “Falling Tree” skill can cross terrain and continuously push back targets, so you can use it to push the enemy into a disadvantageous position or escape a dangerous situation yourself.
Skill 2
Nature's Embrace
:
- Try to use the skill so it hits multiple enemies at once to increase damage and stun multiple targets.
- Also, once you’ve gathered multiple targets together, unleash Skill 1
Vine
to attack them, helping stack “Falling Tree” points faster.
Skill 3
Seed of Life
:
- Pick a position in the middle of the enemy formation or ahead of them to jump in.
- When activating this skill, use the movement keys and the Skill 2 key
Vine
to steer the explosions dealing damage to the enemy. - If you want to lock onto a specific enemy hero, steer so the explosions hit them a full 10 times, which will stun and pull that target in.
- Since
Y'bneth
can’t move while channeling the ultimate
Seed of Life
, you need to pick a good position and check your health is safe before activating. - This skill has a wide damage area and long duration, so use it to open fights, zone the enemy, or contest objectives extremely effectively.
How to Play Y'bneth in the Early Game
In the early game, you can move to mid lane to help the mid laner farm, and if there’s an opportunity, coordinate with a teammate to take down the enemy mid laner.
After that, return to support your marksman’s farm — on the way, you can dip into the enemy jungle to control vision and harass their jungler.
While protecting your marksman, stand in a high position and use Skill 1
Vine
to poke the enemy, and Skill 2
Nature's Embrace
to protect whenever the opponent tries to close in and attack your ally marksman.
How to Play Y'bneth in the Mid Game
By the mid game, your main job is still to follow and safely protect your ally marksman, giving them room to farm and avoid enemy gank attempts.
You can also move with your marksman to join small fights and attack Dragon and Caesar to bring buffs to your team.
By this stage,
Y'bneth
becomes extremely tanky and annoying once they’ve completed a certain amount of items, so take advantage of that by diving in aggressively, using yourself as a living shield for your teammates while using your skill kit to lock down enemy heroes so they have no room to attack.
How to Play Y'bneth in the Late Game
In the final stage of the match, always stay close to your allies, ready to protect them when a full team fight breaks out.
In fights, the most important thing is to keep an eye on the enemy team’s key carries and find ways to combo and lock them down so your allies get a chance to unleash damage.
The key is using Skill 2
Nature's Embrace
to stun as many enemy heroes as possible and timing the ultimate
Seed of Life
to burst damage while breaking apart the enemy formation, which can secure the win for the fight and the whole match.
