How to Combo Lauriel
Basic
Lauriel
combo:
- Use Skill 2
Wings of Purity
to close in and deal damage. - Follow up with Skill 1
Path of Repentance
for more damage. - Activate Skill 3
Great Judgment
then spam the Skill 2
Wings of Purity
+ Skill 1
Path of Repentance
combo continuously.
The important thing to remember when comboing
Lauriel
is landing your skills continuously and precisely on the target you want to burst, triggering passive
Heaven's Punishment
to slow and deal massive true damage.
How to Use Lauriel's Skills Effectively
Passive
Heaven's Punishment
:
- Spam your skills continuously and don’t hesitate to attack tanks, since the passive heals you, slows the enemy, and deals wide-area true damage.
- Watch whether your opponent is close to 4 stacks to calculate your damage precisely.
Skill 1
Path of Repentance
:
- Use this skill to clear minions fast, poke, contest objectives, and check bushes while stacking passive
Heaven's Punishment
. - Cast it along the enemy’s escape path so it’s harder for them to leave its range, dealing extra damage and stacking a 2nd passive charge when Skill 1 explodes on them.
Skill 2
Wings of Purity
:
- Time it well and Skill 2 can dodge every enemy skill entirely. (This is one of the strongest outplay skills in Arena of Valor.)
- Avoid using this skill near minions or monsters to prevent it from bouncing onto them.
- Avoid using Skill 2 near bushes or blind spots, since it can’t be used without a target.
- When attacking, dash close to the enemy hero to deal damage while also reducing its cooldown.
Skill 3
Great Judgment
:
- Place Skill 3 at the focal point of the fight — for example, if your team is stronger, place it further up to block the enemy’s retreat path, and vice versa.
- Spam Skill 1
Path of Repentance
and Skill 2
Wings of Purity
continuously while standing within Skill 3’s range, since they get a 50% cooldown reduction. - Calculate your damage and energy consumption so you can keep unloading skills throughout Skill 3’s 12-second duration.
How to Play Lauriel in the Early Game
Before level 4, hold a safe position and use Skill 1
Path of Repentance
to clear minions and poke the enemy from range.
Keep Skill 2
Wings of Purity
ready to dive in and finish off an exposed enemy, or retreat when the enemy jungler ganks.
Watch the number of stacks on the enemy from passive
Heaven's Punishment
to time your true damage burst and heal yourself for a better time holding your lane.
How to Play Lauriel in the Mid Game
By the mid game,
Lauriel
‘s power has increased a lot with Skill 3
Great Judgment
and a few items.
Clear minions fast then rotate to join fights; note that this hero’s kit is strongest in large team fights but not great at picking off stragglers, so don’t push too far — poke in and out sensibly.
Actively fight in the Dragon and Caesar pits since the tight terrain there makes your combo more effective.
How to Play Lauriel in the Late Game
By the late game, move with your allies to be ready for a full team fight that can break out at any moment.
Unlike other mages,
Lauriel
can hold a slightly forward position, ready to attack the enemy’s tank frontline with her true damage.
Once the enemy is clustered together, use Skill 3
Great Judgment
and start spamming skills to take down the enemy’s core damage dealer first, then the rest of the enemy heroes.
