Iggy Item Build
Notes on Iggy's Item Build
If the enemy team has too much hard crowd control, build
Gilded Greaves
instead of
Enchanted Kicks
.
If the opponent has a lot of strong healing, build
Tome of the Reaper
instead of
Boomstick
.
Finish upgrading
Spoopy Mask
into
Soaring Aura
if the enemy team is squishy, or
Staff of Nuul
if they build a lot of magic resistance.
If you want to spam Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
continuously, build
Flashy Boots
.

How to Play Iggy
How to Combo Iggy
Basic
Iggy
combo:
- Use Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
continuously to chip the enemy’s health. - Activate Skill 2
Fire Shadow
for a speed boost, then close in to knock the enemy back. (Remember to keep at least 1 passive
Gaze
charge in reserve) - Move while holding Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
to continuously unload damage on the target. - If the enemy runs out of range, activate Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
to finish them off.
The key when comboing
Iggy
is the skill of moving while spamming Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
, so practice this a lot.
How to Use Iggy's Skills Effectively
Passive
Gaze
:
- Watch how many charges your passive bar has to know how many times you can use Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
in a row.
Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
:
- Spam this skill continuously to clear minions fast and poke from range.
- Hold down Skill 1 while moving toward the target and it will auto-fire and land on the enemy.
- Keep just enough distance to stay within Skill 1’s range while moving.
Skill 2
Fire Shadow
:
- After landing Skill 2 on an enemy, unload Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
on them continuously, since Skill 1 costs no mana at that point - Take good advantage of the bonus movement speed to both chase with Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
and pursue the enemy. - Activate Skill 2 for a speed boost, and if an enemy closes in to attack, press it again to knock them away.
- Use this skill to move from base to lane and rotate lanes much faster.
Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
:
- Time it for when enemy heroes are standing close together, then cast it to hit multiple targets at once.
- Use this skill last to finish off enemy heroes who’ve run out of the fight’s range.
- Sometimes, hold and cancel the skill to gain extra vision and control the map.
How to Play Iggy in the Early Game
At the start of the match, clear minions fast with Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
to reach level 2, then rotate to gank right away, since just a 2-skill combo from
Iggy
is already very strong.
It’s best to gank top (Caesar lane) first for an easier kill, then take advantage of Skill 2’s
Fire Shadow
high movement speed to return and clear mid minions fast.
In the first few levels, just combo Skill 2
Fire Shadow
then unload Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
continuously, and very few heroes can duel
Iggy
.
How to Play Iggy in the Mid Game
By the mid game,
Iggy
‘s playstyle doesn’t change much — still clear minions fast then rotate to join fights.
While ganking continuously, remember to keep Skill 2
Fire Shadow
in reserve in case you’re suddenly attacked, since it grants a speed boost and knockback to save your life.
If you can’t reach a fight in time, use Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
to deal damage from range.
How to Play Iggy in the Late Game
By the late game, move with your team to be ready for full team fights, and try to stack 2 charges of Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
before joining an important fight.
At the start of the fight, drop Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
once onto the enemy’s cluster to deal huge damage and break their formation.
Then hold a good position and spam Skill 1
Explosive Fireball
to poke. Watch for when the enemy’s core damage dealer is low on health, then drop Skill 3
Ember's Gaze
again to finish them off.
