Best Arthur Build, Rune Page & Guide for 2026

Arthur is a fighter hero in Arena of Valor, inspired by the famous king of the same name from history. Arthur is an easy-to-play yet effective pick in the Abyssal Lane against Caesar.

• Once you have extra gold late game, rotate Blade of Eternity , Arctic Orb , Death Sickle in place of Rock Shield .
• If facing a lot of strong magic-damage heroes, build Gaia's Standard instead of Mail of Pain .
• If the enemy hero has strong healing, build to counter it.
• Only go full damage on Arthur when your mechanical skill is clearly better than your opponent’s.
• If you want to play Arthur jungle, go full damage and buy Soulreaver or Leviathan first.

In the early game, Arthur is fairly strong thanks to his decent damage plus the durability and sustain from his passive Might and Valor , so the playstyle early on is to actively trade skills with the enemy hero, and push minions fast to gank other lanes or harass the enemy jungle.

At the start of the match, level up Skill 2 Divine Guardian and use it to quickly clear the first minion wave while poking your opponent to reach level 2 first, then use Skill 1 Sword of Justice to attack the enemy hero along with Execute .

If you execute this combo well, you’ll secure first blood or at least dominate your lane.

The mid game is when Arthur is at his strongest, with high durability and fairly big damage plus the silence effect from Skill 1 Sword of Justice .

Take advantage of this to push lanes, roam to gank, and join your allies to secure objectives.

Use the bonus movement speed from Skill 1 Sword of Justice and the support spell Sprint to close in on squishy enemy heroes, silence them, then combo with Skill 2 Divine Guardian and finish with Skill 3 Judgment of Justice to send them to the kill feed.

The further the game drags on, the weaker Arthur becomes, since his combo damage is no longer enough to threaten the enemy’s core damage dealers.

So your main job now is to be a tanky shield for your team, using Skill 1 Sword of Justice well to silence any enemy hero trying to attack your AD, or to attack directly to harass the enemy’s core damage dealer.

Try to end the match as soon as possible, since the longer it goes, the less impactful Arthur becomes.
